Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing – Demos & Charges professional to handle patient demographics, insurance information, charge entry, and claim-related data accurately and efficiently. The candidate should have a good understanding of US healthcare billing and RCM processes.

Key Responsibilities

Demographics

- Enter and update patient demographic information accurately in the billing system.
- Verify patient information such as name, DOB, address, phone number, and guarantor details.
- Verify and update insurance information, including member ID, group number, payer details, and policy information.
- Check patient eligibility and insurance coverage when required.
- Identify missing or incorrect demographic and insurance information and coordinate for corrections.




- Maintain accurate patient records while following HIPAA and client confidentiality requirements.

Charges / Charge Entry

- Enter and post medical charges accurately based on provider documentation and charge sheets.
- Review charge information for completeness and accuracy before claim submission.
- Validate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, modifiers, units, and place of service (POS) as applicable.
- Ensure charges are entered under the correct provider, patient, date of service, and location.
- Identify missing, duplicate, or incorrect charges and take appropriate corrective action.
- Review charge entry for potential billing errors and discrepancies.
- Work with the coding/billing team to resolve charge-related issues.
- Ensure charges are entered within the required turnaround time.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of US healthcare medical billing and RCM.
- Understanding of patient demographics and insurance verification.
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, modifiers, and POS codes.
- Good understanding of charge entry and claim submission processes.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and medical billing software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.




- Ability to meet productivity and quality targets.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- 2–4 years of experience in US healthcare medical billing.
- Experience with EHR/EMR or medical billing systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, NextGen, etc., is preferred.
- Knowledge of US insurance plans and payer requirements is an added advantage.

Good Analytical, Oral and Written Skills.

Typing Skills: 30 words/min.

Familiar with Microsoft office suite.

Education: Graduation Mandatory.

Location: Hitech City - Hyderabad

Timings

Should be flexible with night shift timings (8:30 Am to 5:30 Pm).

5 Days work - Fixed shift (Saturday and Sunday Week off).

Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
