JOB PURPOSE To lead Material Planning, Procurement, Inventory Control and Supplier Management to ensure uninterrupted production, optimum inventory, cost-effective purchasing and timely availability of materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Material Planning

- Plan material requirements based on production and customer schedules.

- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components and consumables.

1. Purchase Management

- Manage purchase activities from RFQ to PO release and material receipt.

- Ensure competitive pricing, quality and timely delivery.

1. Supplier Management

- Identify, develop and evaluate suppliers.

- Monitor supplier delivery, quality, cost and service performance.

1. Inventory Control

- Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid excess/obsolete stock.





- Ensure proper stock accuracy and reconciliation.

1. Cost Control

- Drive purchase cost reduction, negotiation and alternate sourcing.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities without affecting quality or production.

1. Production Support

- Ensure zero production stoppage due to material shortages.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores and Finance for material requirements.

1. Team & Compliance

- Lead the Materials & Purchase team and ensure timely execution of activities.

- Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures, approved suppliers and documentation requirements.
