About the Role
We are looking for a Manager – People & Culture to strengthen and scale the employee experience at Amber.
This role will be responsible for driving initiatives across Employee Engagement, Employer Branding, People Communication, and Vendor Management , while also taking ownership of other HR projects based on the evolving priorities of the business.
The ideal candidate is creative, highly organised, an excellent communicator, and a robust executor
- someone who can conceptualise an idea, build a plan, bring stakeholders together, execute it seamlessly, and measure its impact.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building things, working with people, and taking ownership beyond a narrowly defined .
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Own and execute the annual employee engagement calendar across festivals, celebrations, town halls, employee events, wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and culture-building activities.
- Design meaningful and creative initiatives that strengthen employee connection, belonging, collaboration, and overall employee experience.
- Plan and execute employee events, town halls, offsites, celebrations, and engagement activities end-to-end.
- Drive employee listening initiatives including engagement surveys, pulse surveys, feedback mechanisms, and focus groups.
- Analyse employee feedback and engagement data and translate insights into actionable initiatives.
- Build and strengthen culture rituals that reflect Amber's values and ways of working.
- Own employee recognition and appreciation initiatives.
- Continuously identify new ideas and practices to improve employee experience.
2. Employer Branding
- Own and strengthen Amber's employer brand across internal and external platforms.
- Develop and execute the employer branding calendar in partnership with Talent Acquisition and HR.
- Create campaigns and content showcasing Amber's people, culture, employee stories, celebrations, and workplace experience.
- Identify and develop employee stories, testimonials, leadership content, and culture-led communication.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of Amber's career page, employer branding assets, and recruitment collateral.
- Partner with Marketing, Talent Acquisition, creative agencies, and other stakeholders on employer branding initiatives.
- Track employer branding initiatives and identify opportunities to improve Amber's visibility and positioning as an employer.
3. Internal Communication
- Drive effective employee communication for HR programs, policies, initiatives, events, and organisational updates.
- Develop engaging communication across email, Slack, internal platforms, presentations, and other relevant channels.
- Ensure employee communication is timely, clear, consistent, and aligned with Amber's culture and tone.
- Partner with HR and leadership teams on important employee-facing communications.
- Act as a strong People & Culture representative at employee events and organisational forums.
4. Vendor Management
- Own the end-to-end management of People & Culture vendors and external partners.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage vendors across employee engagement, events, gifting, wellness, employer branding, communication, and other people initiatives.
- Manage commercials, contracts, SLAs, timelines, and service expectations.
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost effectiveness.
- Maintain structured records of vendors, contracts, commercials, and performance.
- Regularly evaluate vendor performance and address service gaps.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, Legal, and other stakeholders for vendor onboarding, payments, and contract management.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate vendors, improve service quality, and optimize costs.
5. Other HR Projects
- Take ownership of other HR projects based on the evolving priorities of the HR function and business.
- Projects may span areas such as Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, employee experience, HR technology, AI and automation, HR analytics, policies, and process improvement .
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience, and operational efficiency through technology and automation.
- Work with relevant HR and business stakeholders to drive projects from concept to implementation and measurement.
- Be comfortable working on new and ambiguous projects where priorities may evolve based on business needs.
- Take ownership of projects outside the core scope of the role when required by the business.
What We're Looking For
- 4-5 years of experience in HR, People & Culture, Employee Experience, Employer Branding, or related roles.
- Educational qualification in Human Resources is mandatory.
- Solid experience in employee engagement, culture initiatives, and/or employer branding.
- Experience in managing vendors and external partners.
- Strong project management and execution skills, with the ability to independently drive initiatives end-to-end.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid public speaking and presentation skills, the ability to confidently host events, town halls, and speak in front of large groups is a must.
- Creative, energetic, highly organised, and detail-oriented.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a quick-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to take an idea from concept → planning → execution → measurement .
- Curious about technology, AI, and new ways of working in HR.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.
