About the role:

We are seeking a creative, hands-on, and data-driven Manager – Communications & Outreach to own how the organization tells its story and shows up to the world. The role brings together three areas of work: digital communications & content, external positioning & PR, and fundraising support.

The selected candidate will personally shoot, design, edit, and publish content across our social media handles, YouTube channel, and website; produce key collaterals such as the quarterly newsletter and annual report; build the organization's visibility through awards, influencers, and impact-focused media; and support the fundraising team with crowdfunding campaigns, presentations, proposals, and research.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator in written and spoken English, confident with design and video editing tools, driven by data, and eager to keep learning and upskilling on the job.

Key responsibilities:

1. Social Media & Content Creation

- Own and manage all of the organization’s social media handles and YouTube channel, including planning a content calendar and posting consistently.
- Shoot high-quality photos and videos of classrooms, student stories, events, and campus activities.
- Design posts, carousels, and creatives on Canva / Photoshop that are consistent with our brand.
- Edit reels, short-form, and long-form videos using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, etc.
- Drive measurable growth in followers, reach, and the right kind of engagement (likes, comments, shares, saves) across platforms.
- Track platform analytics, report performance regularly, and use insights to refine content formats, timing, and strategy.

2. Key Collaterals & Digital Assets

- Write, design, and publish the quarterly newsletter and the annual report.




- Ensure the website and other digital assets are regularly updated and maintained, in coordination with internal stakeholders & external partners.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all external-facing material.

3. External Positioning & PR

- Track relevant awards and recognitions in the education and social impact space, and prepare strong applications.
- Identify and engage the right content creators to visit and cover the organization's work.
- Pitch stories and secure coverage on impact-focused online media platforms.
- Maintain an organized tracker of award deadlines, media contacts, and influencer partnerships.

4. Fundraising Support

- Design, launch, and manage campaigns end-to-end on retail crowdfunding platforms.
- Create compelling campaign content (stories, visuals, and videos) and drive traffic to live campaigns.
- Prepare and design presentations, proposals, and other collaterals for fundraising outreach.
- Conduct fundraising research as required.

5. Other Responsibilities

- Take ownership of any other work that may be assigned from a school / organizational lens.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in communications, social media, PR, or related roles. A degree in media/communications is not mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken English.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on proficiency with technical tools such as Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, Premiere Pro, etc.
- Media Production: Ability to shoot good-quality photos and videos, and to create reels and long-form YouTube content.
- Analytical Mindset: A data-driven approach—comfort analyzing performance on digital platforms and tweaking strategy accordingly.
- Growth Mindset: A learning mindset and the willingness to upskill across different aspects of the role.
- Execution & Drive: Ability to manage multiple work streams with robust communication and coordination skills.
