Job Summary

The Maintenance Head will be responsible for leading the maintenance function across the manufacturing unit, ensuring maximum machine uptime, reliability, and efficiency. The role requires robust expertise in press shop operations, welding systems, CNC machining, and advanced equipment such as laser machines and compressors. The candidate will drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies while managing a team of maintenance engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the maintenance department for smooth plant operations.
- Ensure maximum uptime of machines including press shop, CNC, VMC, HMC, and laser systems.
- Plan and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules.
- Handle maintenance of press machines, boosters, compressors, and laser welding machines.
- Oversee maintenance of welding systems (MIG, TIG, Arc welding) and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues effectively.
- Ensure proper functioning of CNC/VMC/HMC machines and coordinate with operators for quick resolution.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.




- Coordinate with production to minimize downtime and improve machine efficiency.
- Implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance SOPs.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdown analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Train and develop the maintenance team for skill enhancement.

Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong experience in Press Shop Maintenance
- Expertise in Welding Technologies (MIG, TIG, Arc)
- Hands-on knowledge of CNC, VMC, HMC Machines
- Experience with Laser Cutting / Laser Welding Machines
- Knowledge of Compressors, Boosters, Pneumatics & Hydraulics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Leadership and team management ability
- Knowledge of TPM, Lean Maintenance, and Kaizen practices
- Good understanding of safety and compliance standards

Experience & Qualification:
- B.E./B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 12–18 years of relevant experience in manufacturing maintenance
- Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role (preferred)
