Maintenance Manager

Job Overview The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing overall plant maintenance activities, ensuring machinery reliability, equipment efficiency, and minimum downtime. The role involves planning preventive and breakdown maintenance, managing spare parts, coordinating with vendors, improving equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment availability.

- Monitor machinery performance and implement measures to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.

- Lead troubleshooting activities, identify root causes of equipment failures, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Manage maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure smooth plant operations.

- Plan spare parts requirements, maintain inventory levels, and ensure availability of critical spares to avoid production disruptions.

- Inspect and ensure the quality of incoming engineering spares and coordinate with suppliers for any discrepancies.

- Coordinate with procurement teams for spare parts sourcing, quotations, vendor communication, and timely availability.

- Maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, preventive maintenance schedules, and cost reports.





- Prepare and submit monthly maintenance reports, cost analysis, and performance updates to management.

- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, maintenance standards, and company policies.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and energy efficiency.

- Lead and develop the maintenance team through proper guidance, training, and performance management.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.

- 8-12 years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in manufacturing/FMCG/Food processing industries.

- Experience in handling mechanical & electrical maintenance, preventive maintenance systems, and maintenance teams.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

- Positive understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.

- Knowledge of spare parts management and inventory control.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.

- Strong planning, coordination, and vendor management skills.

- Proficiency in maintenance management systems and MS Office.

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

- Good understanding of safety standards and maintenance best practices.
