Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site Machine Design Engineer role based in the Pune District.

The Machine Design

Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and detailing customized machinery and automation solutions, including SPMs and robotic systems. Daily activities include creating and updating 3D models and detailed drawings in CAD, performing basic calculations and design validation, and preparing BOMs and technical documentation. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, support manufacturing and assembly, and participate in machine testing, installation, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design, including understanding of mechanisms, materials, tolerances, and manufacturability.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)



tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting, with experience creating assemblies, detailed drawings, and BOMs.
- Experience with Machinery and Automation systems, preferably in industrial automation, SPMs, or robotic integration.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and customer requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with design, production, and field teams on-site.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts, PLC-based systems, and basic electrical/controls interfaces is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a machine-building or automation workplace and exposure to design validation, testing, and commissioning are preferred.
