Role & responsibilities

1. Box Packing & Primary Packing

- Ensure LAN cable, CCTV cable, OFC and assembled items (patch cords, connectors, kits, etc.) are packed as per approved packing standards, BOM/BOQ and customer-specific packing instructions.
- Verify correct reel/drum/coil length, box size, carton strength, inner packing material (poly bags, foam, bubble wrap, edge protectors) as per product type.
- Ensure correct labelling on every box product code, batch/lot number, length/quantity, date of packing, barcode/QR code, customer PO number, and safety/handling marks.
- Monitor packing line output, manpower allocation, and rejection/wastage of packing consumables.
- Coordinate with Production, QC and Stores for timely release of finished goods for packing.

2. Palletization

- Plan and supervise pallet building as per weight, size and stacking norms to maximize space utilization and prevent damage in transit.
- Ensure correct pallet type (wooden/plastic), strapping, stretch-wrapping, corner protection and shrink-wrapping are used as per product and destination (domestic/export).
- Ensure pallets are fumigated/ISPM-15 compliant for export shipments where required.
- Maintain pallet-wise packing list with item codes, quantities and gross/net weights for easy traceability.
- Optimize pallet configuration to reduce number of pallets while complying with load-bearing and safety limits.

Others Points needed to Review 1. Container / Vehicle Loading & Dispatch

- Plan container/truck loading sequence to optimize space (CBM utilization) as per dispatch plan and priority.
- Prepare and validate loading plans/stuffing plans in coordination with Logistics/Export team for 20ft/40ft containers or trucks.
- Ensure proper load securing dunnage,



air bags, lashing/strapping to prevent shifting and damage during transit.
- Supervise loading team to ensure safe, damage-free and time-bound loading; conduct pre-loading and post-loading inspection with photos.
- Ensure all dispatch documents (invoice, packing list, E-way bill, GRN, gate pass, container seal number) match physical loading before container/vehicle leaves the plant.
- Coordinate with transporters/CFS/freight forwarders for on-time container placement and dispatch as per delivery schedule.

2. Planning, Documentation & Compliance

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly packing and dispatch plans in line with production output and sales orders.
- Maintain packing material inventory (cartons, reels, drums, pallets, strapping rolls, labels) and raise indents to avoid stock-outs.
- Ensure packing area complies with 5S, safety and quality standards; conduct periodic audits.
- Maintain records packing reports, pallet/container loading reports, rejection reports, and MIS for management review.
- Ensure compliance with customer packing standards, ISO/quality requirements and applicable statutory/export packing norms.

3. Team & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Supervise, train and schedule packing supervisors, operators and helpers across shifts.
- Coordinate with Production, QC, Stores,



Logistics and Sales/Export teams to align packing and dispatch with overall plant priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement in packing methods to reduce cost, cycle time and material wastage.
- Handle customer/QC complaints related to packing damage and drive root-cause corrective actions.

Key Deliverables

- Strong knowledge of packing standards for cables/reels/drums, cartons and export packing norms.
- Good understanding of pallet building, load planning and container/CBM optimization.
- Working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems, MS Excel and dispatch documentation (invoice, E-way bill, packing list).
- Robust people management, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills for coordination with production, QC, logistics and customers.
- Awareness of workplace safety, 5S and quality (ISO 9001) practices
- Factory/warehouse floor environment; may require standing/movement across packing and loading bays.
- Shift-based work with flexibility during peak dispatch periods.
- Exposure to packing machinery, forklifts/material handling equipment and loading dock operations

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent (Mechanical/Electrical preferred for cable industry exposure).
- 5-10 years of experience in packing, warehousing or logistics operations, preferably in cable, wire, electronics or CCTV/electrical manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with palletization standards, container stuffing/loading plans and export packing (ISPM-15, fumigation) is preferred.
- Prior experience managing a packing/dispatch team and coordinating with logistics/freight forwarders.
