Company Description The Centre for Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science (CCIFS) is a specialized wing of Tabish Sarosh and Associates, a criminal litigation and law firm. CCIFS focuses on the application of forensic science and scientific methods to support criminal investigations and the judicial process.

The center provides expert services in criminal cases, including the analysis and critical examination of forensic evidence presented in court. By integrating legal expertise with forensic science, CCIFS contributes to more accurate, evidence-based outcomes in the justice system. Role Description The Legal Counsel will provide legal support and guidance on matters related to forensic evidence, criminal investigations, and case strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and drafting legal documents, assessing legal issues arising from forensic reports, and preparing concise legal opinions or advisories for internal and external stakeholders.

The role also involves supporting case preparation, collaborating with forensic experts, and ensuring that evidence handling and presentation comply with applicable laws and procedural standards.



This is a volunteer, remote role, offering flexibility while requiring consistent communication, timely delivery of work, and adherence to professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law and demonstrated understanding of criminal law and procedure.
- Experience in Contract Negotiation and managing legal agreements relevant to forensic or investigative services.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting opinions, briefs, and case-related documentation.
- Ability to analyze complex Legal Issues and provide explicit, practical Legal Advice to legal and forensic teams.
- Relevant law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) and eligibility to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction, where required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple matters, and meet deadlines.
- Prior exposure to forensic science, criminal litigation, or evidence examination is an advantage.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and commitment to confidentiality and due process.
