As a Snowflake Data Engineer at leading tech firm, you will be embedded within the Republic Services - RSI account team, responsible for delivering high-quality data and analytics solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. Key technologies include Snowflake, SnowSQL, Airflow, DBT. You will be expected to we're looking for sr. data engineers (onshore and offshore) to design and build the core elt pipelines for the data engineering support engagement, and to lead technical design and code reviews within their team and contribute to broader data strategy initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with onshore leads, client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sr. Data Engineer Data Engineering Support (Republic Services)
- We're looking for Sr. Data Engineers (onshore and offshore) to design and build the core ELT pipelines for the Data Engineering Support engagement, and to lead technical design and code reviews within their team.
- Design and build complex ELT pipelines across Stage, ODS, and Silver layers
- Lead technical design discussions and code reviews within the team
- Work across IICS, Snowpipe, SnowSQL, DBT, and Airflow to deliver and maintain pipeline components
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SnowSQL, and DBT;
- ELT pipeline design experience across staging, ODS, and Silver/CDM layers
- Experience with IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services) and Airflow orchestration;
- Experience leading code reviews or mentoring junior engineers.
- Familiarity with SQLDBM for data modeling
- Prior experience on Snowflake Medallion architecture builds
Nice to Have Skills: Function/Domain experience in Customer 360 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Snowflake Data Engineer or a closely related field.
- Strong proficiency in Snowflake.
- Strong proficiency in SnowSQL.
- Strong proficiency in Airflow.
- Strong proficiency in DBT.
- Strong proficiency in IICS.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across time zones. Experience working in agile/scrum delivery environments.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
