Short Description The job role entails in supporting the Head Workplace (RIL Manufacturing Sites) in the areas of Environmental Compliances and Environmental Management Systems
and Responsibilities
- Review Companys operation and assist in ensuring the compliance with best environmental standards and relevant legislation within prescribed quality standards and costs.
- Review processes, techniques and equipment to determine how emissions may be reduced and compliance of environmental standards achieved. Be associated with studies of operations and processes to ensure that these comply with the best environmental standards.
- Identify opportunities for taking up Environmental Management Programs which will benefit sites to improve environmental performance with a techno-commercial advantage.
- Establishing baseline and monitoring on regular basis for different environmental performance, specific reduction on pollution load on environment, specific water consumption, specific energy consumption etc. and assist in generating reports.
- Keep track of Environmental Monitoring (both statutory and internal) and take corrective action against any deviations.
- Use logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons or facts associated with information.
- update the system as per regulatory requirements and amendments so as to ensure compliance to all applicable laws.
- Documentation, implementation, review and upgradation of EMS at site.
- Monitoring of Sustainability KPIs and reporting as per GRI Guidelines
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills) Sound knowledge of Environmental Legislations and Environmental Management Systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Hands on experience on computer skills

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)
Necessary
- Degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering with Post Graduation in Environmental Science/ engineering or equivalent
- 13 - 15 years of working experience in manufacturing site preferably in petroleum refinery / petrochemical / oil & gas / chemical units in the areas of environmental monitoring and compliance.
