We are not looking for years of experience.

We are looking for evidence that you can build.

SkillsNCR is an early-stage company being built from Gurugram. We are experimenting, validating products and shipping quickly.

We want to work with a high-potential undergraduate, fresher or recent graduate who wants a genuine opportunity to learn how products are built inside a startup.

You don't need to know everything.

You do need to be unusually curious, resourceful and willing to figure things out.

What you will work on

You will work directly on real SkillsNCR product and internal technology requirements.

Depending on the project, this can include:

- building and modifying frontend interfaces;
- working on backend APIs and application logic;
- connecting frontend applications to backend services;
- working with databases;
- implementing authentication and user flows;
- debugging existing applications;
- integrating third-party APIs;
- improving existing product functionality;
- deploying and testing applications;
- using Cursor and other AI coding tools to accelerate development;
- researching unfamiliar technologies and implementing them;
- documenting what you built and why;
- turning loosely defined startup requirements into working prototypes.

We specifically want someone who knows how to use AI to build. Using Cursor, ChatGPT or other AI coding tools is encouraged.

But simply copying generated code is not enough.

You should be capable of:

Requirement → Ask the right questions → Plan → Build → Test → Debug → Explain → Improve

If Cursor gives you broken code, we expect you to investigate rather than immediately saying, “It isn't working.”

What we care about

Your degree matters less than your evidence.

We are looking for

- basic understanding of frontend development;
- basic understanding of backend development;




- comfort with JavaScript/TypeScript or a comparable contemporary stack;
- familiarity with APIs and databases;
- experience using Git/GitHub;
- experience using Cursor or another AI coding environment;
- ability to debug;
- strong internet research skills;
- willingness to ask questions when requirements are genuinely unclear;
- ability to keep working when the first approach fails;
- ability to explain your thinking clearly.

You do NOT need
- a famous college;
- previous corporate experience;
- multiple internships;
- five programming certificates;
- mastery of every technology in our stack.

We would rather meet someone who independently built three imperfect products than someone with twenty certificates who has never shipped anything.

The person we want

You are probably the person we are looking for if you regularly think:

"I don't know how to do this yet, but I can probably figure it out."

We value people who create opportunities rather than continuously wait for them.

That could mean you

- built an app nobody asked you to build;
- automated something because the manual process annoyed you;
- created a website for a friend or family business;
- tried launching your own small project;
- participated seriously in hackathons;
- learned a technology because you wanted to create something;
- contributed to an open-source project;
- experimented with AI agents or APIs;
- have a GitHub account full of imperfect experiments.

Those examples matter to us. What working here will feel like

SkillsNCR is early.

There is not yet a large engineering department, sophisticated hierarchy or perfectly documented roadmap.

You will work close to the founder.

Some requirements will evolve as we learn from customers.





That makes this a poor fit for someone whose primary expectation is a conventional, highly structured corporate role.

It can be a strong fit for someone who wants unusually early exposure to:

- product decisions;
- engineering decisions;
- AI-assisted development;
- startup experimentation;
- customer feedback;
- shipping real software;
- understanding how technology connects to an actual business.

Selection process Step 1 — Show us what you have built

Send GitHub, a live project, code samples or even unfinished experiments.

Step 2 — Practical build challenge

We will give shortlisted candidates a small, time-bounded technical problem designed to evaluate how you approach an unfamiliar requirement.

The assessment will not require unpaid production work for SkillsNCR.

Step 3 — Founder discussion

We will discuss

- what you built;
- where you got stuck;
- how you used AI;
- how you debugged;
- what you would do differently;
- what you want to learn over the next 12 months.

Step 4 — Written engagement For anyone selected to work on actual SkillsNCR projects, role expectations, working pattern, commercial terms and engagement conditions will be agreed in writing before productive work begins.

Engagement and compensation

SkillsNCR is operating lean during its validation stage.

The exact engagement model, duration and commercial terms for this opportunity are still being finalised and will be communicated transparently before any candidate begins productive work.

We do not want candidates joining with assumptions on either side.

Pay: ₹381,304.77 - ₹1,637,493.38 per year
