Must-have

- 10 years total IT experience, with substantial hands-on solution design / application architecture across enterprise systems
- Proven ability to design end-to-end solutions spanning UI/API, services, data, and integrations
- Strong experience with microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and integration patterns (sync/async, pub-sub, orchestration vs choreography)
- Solid understanding of Java / Spring Boot (or equivalent enterprise stack) and how designs map to implementable code
- Experience with cloud platforms preferably AWS — and Cloud First design considerations (compute, networking, storage, IAM, managed services)
- Strong modelling and documentation skills (UML / C4 / sequence / data flow); comfortable using tools such as Confluence, Visio,



Lucidchart, PlantUML, or similar
- Experience with OpenAPI / Swagger-first API design and contract testing strategies
- Experience designing for security and compliance (authN/authZ, least privilege, auditability, data protection)
- Ability to engage stakeholders at business and technical levels; robust facilitation and communication skills
- Agile delivery experience; ability to work in iterative increments while protecting architectural integrity
- Tertiary qualification in a technology-related discipline (or equivalent experience)
