Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Inventory leader to own end-to-end inventory strategy and operations across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

The Inventory

Manager will build and lead the inventory function, drive ERP-led process discipline, and partner with production, procurement, warehouse, and dispatch leadership to ensure accuracy, traceability, and optimal stock holding across the apparel manufacturing lifecycle. This is a leadership role accountable for the team, the systems, and the numbers behind inventory performance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Governance

- Own the end-to-end inventory strategy across raw materials, trims, WIP, and finished goods, aligning it to production plans and business growth




- Define and enforce inventory policies, SOPs, and controls for stock control, warehousing, and material movement
- Own governance of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and its alignment with production planning across all stages

Operations & Accuracy

- Drive batch/lot-wise, size-wise, colour-wise, and SKU-wise traceability across the full inventory lifecycle
- Oversee GRN processing, stock transfers, and the cycle count and stock audit calendar across all locations
- Lead inventory reconciliation and variance analysis, ensuring discrepancies are root-caused and resolved, and driving shrinkage/loss-prevention initiatives
- Own reorder planning strategy and inventory optimization to balance stock availability against holding costs and working capital

Systems & Reporting

- Own inventory records, controls, and process governance on Logic ERP and Uniware, including upgrades, automation, and user discipline
- Own the MIS and dashboards that track inventory accuracy, ageing, and key performance metrics, and present these to leadership

Leadership & Coordination

- Build, lead, and mentor the inventory team (executives, senior executives, and warehouse staff), including hiring, training, and performance management




- Act as the primary point of coordination with production, warehouse, procurement, and dispatch leadership to ensure smooth material flow and on-time order fulfilment
- Partner with finance on inventory valuation, provisioning, and audit requirements

Requirements

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Supply Chain, or Operations; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in inventory management within fashion/apparel manufacturing, including 3+ years leading a team
- Hands-on, expert-level experience with Logic ERP and Uniware (mandatory)
- Deep knowledge of raw materials, trims, WIP, and finished goods management at scale
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP); exposure to BI/dashboarding tools (e.g. Power BI) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and communicate to senior leadership
- Solid analytical and strategic thinking, with a track record of reducing variance and improving inventory accuracy
- High ownership, detail orientation, and accountability for accuracy in stock and financial data

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
