Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Inventory Planner to oversee the demand forecasting and stock management related to the footwear products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reporting and Cross-functional coordination. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end Inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demand Forecasting:
- Analyse the past sales data and the market trends and forecast the upcoming sales and buy the stocks accordingly.
- Size Optimization: Analyse and implement exact size-break calculations to ensure high-demand sizes don't sell out early while extreme sizes sit in inventory.
- Seasonal Demand Forecasting: Analyse pre-season and in-season sales forecasts based on seasonality and past sales trend
2. Stock Management:
- Make sure our top selling styles are always in stock and does not go out of stock.
- Monitor stock holding levels to reduce slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory.
3. Reporting:
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports and analyse the supply risks,
stock holding level as per the sales.
- Circulating the reports to the management and highlighting the category performance
4. Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Work closely with the production and supply team and ensure the purchase orders are created on time, and the production is happening on time.
- Ensure the stocks are getting delivered and in-warded at our warehouses on time.
- Coordinate with demand team and understand the requirement to meet the expected sale numbers
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or above in any discipline
- 2 plus years experience in retail industry
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively with supply and demand teams.
- Excellent practical knowledge of MIS tools especially in Microsoft Excel. Power BI and SQL will be an added advantage
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
