Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and competent ICU Staff Nurse with a minimum of 4 years of ICU/critical-care experience to provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. The candidate should be proficient in patient assessment, ventilator care, medication administration, emergency management, monitoring of critically ill patients, and assisting doctors with critical-care procedures.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining patient safety, accurate clinical documentation, infection-control practices, and effective coordination with doctors and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Conduct regular assessment and continuous monitoring of patients' vital signs and clinical condition.
- Monitor ECG, SpO₂, blood pressure, temperature, neurological status, urine output, and other relevant parameters.
- Provide nursing care to mechanically ventilated and critically ill patients.
- Demonstrate knowledge of ventilator monitoring, suctioning, airway care, and oxygen therapy.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and promptly report significant changes in clinical condition.
- Assist physicians during intubation, central-line insertion, arterial-line procedures, bedside procedures, and other critical-care interventions.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and participate effectively in Code Blue/CPR and resuscitation procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency drugs, crash-cart management, and resuscitation protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation, medication charts, flow sheets, nursing notes, and patient records.




- Ensure proper shift handover and communicate critical patient information effectively.
- Follow infection-control practices, including hand hygiene, aseptic techniques, isolation precautions, and prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
- Provide appropriate care for central lines, arterial lines, urinary catheters, drains, feeding tubes, and other invasive devices.
- Monitor and assist in prevention of pressure injuries, falls, aspiration, infections, and other ICU-related complications.
- Maintain readiness and proper functioning of ICU equipment, including ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, syringe pumps, and emergency equipment.
- Ensure appropriate stock levels of emergency medications, consumables, and nursing supplies.
- Coordinate effectively with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, technicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate appropriately with patients' attendants regarding nursing care, while maintaining patient confidentiality and hospital policies.
- Participate in quality audits, infection-control initiatives, clinical training, and continuous nursing education.
- Follow hospital policies, nursing protocols, patient-safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Qualification
- B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the applicable State Nursing Council.
- ACLS certification and critical-care/ICU certification will be an added advantage.

Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in ICU/Critical Care.




- Experience in managing mechanically ventilated patients is preferred.
- Experience in medical ICU, surgical ICU, cardiac ICU, neuro ICU, or other critical-care settings will be considered based on the hospital's requirements.
- Candidates should have hands-on experience in emergency management, CPR, medication administration, invasive-line care, and ICU monitoring.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
