Role & responsibilities

- Teach IB MYP/DP and Cambridge Computer Science as per the relevant curriculum frameworks.

- Develop students computational thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

- Teach programming concepts using Python and other relevant programming languages.

- Cover areas such as algorithms, data structures, databases, computer systems, networking, and computational thinking.

- Plan and conduct practical coding sessions, projects, investigations, and technology-based activities.

- Develop concept-driven and inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with IB principles.

- Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE/AS & A Level and IB assessments, where applicable.

- Design meaningful assessments, assignments, projects, and practical tasks.

- Provide regular feedback and use assessment data to support student progress.

- Encourage participation in coding competitions, Olympiads, hackathons, technology projects, and exhibitions.

- Integrate interdisciplinary learning, digital citizenship, ethics, and real-world applications of technology.

- Support students in developing independent research, communication, collaboration, and project-management skills.

- Maintain effective computer lab practices, digital safety, and responsible technology use.

- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects.

- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, school events, and academic initiatives.

- Maintain accurate academic records, assessment documentation, and curriculum-related documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

- Masters Degree in Computer Science / IT / Computer Applications or a relevant discipline.

- B.Ed. preferred/required as per applicable requirements.

- Minimum 7+ years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in IB and/or Cambridge schools.

- Robust knowledge of IB MYP/DP and/or Cambridge IGCSE/AS & A Level Computer Science.





- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.

- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, databases, computer systems, and networking.

- Experience with inquiry-based, concept-driven, and project-based learning.

- Ability to design practical activities and authentic technology-based projects.

- Strong understanding of international curriculum assessment practices.

- Experience with IB MYP assessment criteria and/or Cambridge assessment frameworks will be an advantage.

- Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and student-engagement skills.

- Candidates with IB/Cambridge teaching experience or relevant IB/Cambridge training will be preferred.
