Responsibilities

1. Pre-Service Preparation (Mise-en-place)

- Check the cleanliness of tables, chairs, floors, and surrounding areas.
- Polish and set up tableware, cutlery, glassware, and napkins according to hotel standards.
- Review daily menus, special dishes, beverage pairings, and ingredients.
- Restock side stations with napkins, condiments, and silverware.

1. Guest Reception & Service

- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly based on availability and reservation status.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer expert recommendations.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, noting special dietary needs, preferences, or allergies.
- Relay orders accurately to the kitchen or bar via the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages professionally, following proper sequence and table etiquette.

1. During-Meal Care

- Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
- Clear finished plates (pre-bussing), refill beverages, and replace soiled cutlery proactively.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, or adjustments quickly and with a positive attitude.

1. Billing and Closing

- Prepare and present accurate guest bills or room charges.




- Process payments securely via cash, credit card, or room folio.
- Bid guests farewell politely and invite them to return.
- Transparent and reset tables for the next seating.
- Complete closing side-work, cleaning tasks, and inventory checks.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or a diploma/degree in hotel management / hospitality.
- Experience: Previous serving experience in a busy restaurant, cafe, or hotel environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Product Knowledge: Strong familiarity with food, wine, cocktails, and basic allergy protocols.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for long shift hours.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
