Role Overview:

This opportunity is for one of our large IT Company client (PAN INDIA), spread across multiple locations in India. As a Software Developer/Engineer with 5-10 years of experience, you will play a pivotal role in the one of the global IT company focusing on the Insurance domain. Your expertise will drive the design, development, and integration of Guidewire solutions, ensuring robust and scalable systems for Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance operations.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and innovative software solutions that directly impact policy administration, claims management, and billing processes. Your contributions will be strategic in modernizing insurance platforms, optimizing workflows, and enabling digital transformation to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities :

Lead the end-to-end configuration, integration, and customization of Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter modules to support complex insurance business processes.

Design, implement, and optimize workflows, underwriting rules, and batch processes to streamline policy administration and claims management.

Develop and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and integrate with cloud platforms, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange across systems.

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

Drive the customization of Guidewire data models and product models, author business rules, and configure event-driven architectures for seamless process automation.

Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards to maintain high-quality deliverables and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Participate in solution design sessions,



provide technical leadership, and contribute to strategic technology decisions for insurance platform modernization.

Ensure robust documentation, effective communication, and proactive issue resolution throughout the software development lifecycle.

Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders, present technical concepts, and drive consensus across teams.

Skills & Knowledge a) Mandatory Skills

Possess Guidewire certifications in PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, Integration, Configuration, Cloud, Digital, DataHub, and Testing Frameworks, demonstrating hands-on expertise in each area.

Expertise in Guidewire Studio for efficient development, debugging, and deployment of insurance solutions.

Comprehensive experience in the P&C; Insurance domain, with a deep understanding of the insurance lifecycle, policy administration, and claims management processes.

Advanced skills in Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter configuration.

Proven ability to customize Guidewire data models, configure product models, author business rules, and manage batch processes for insurance operations.

Demonstrated experience in underwriting rules configuration, workflow design, batch process development, and data model extension within Guidewire platforms.

Hands-on integration with message queues (JMS, RabbitMQ, Kafka) and cloud APIs (AWS, Azure,



GCP) for scalable, event-driven architectures.

Expertise in RESTful API design, security (OAuth2, JWT), documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI), versioning, and integration with Guidewire systems.

Proficiency in JSON/XML data handling, error management, performance tuning, and API testing using Postman or SoapUI.

Strong background in web services (SOAP/REST), unit and integration testing (JUnit, GUnit), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo) for Guidewire deployments.

b) Good to Have Skills

Solid understanding of core Java concepts, including OOP, Collections, Streams, and multithreading for building robust applications.

Experience with exception handling, logging frameworks (Log4j, SLF4J), and design patterns (Singleton, Factory, Observer) for maintainable code.

Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle), dependency injection frameworks (Spring, Guice), and ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA).

Proficiency in unit testing using JUnit and Mockito, and source control management with Git or Bitbucket.

Ability to optimize application performance and conduct profiling for continuous improvement.

Experience

Years of experience 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in software development, with a strong focus on Guidewire platforms and insurance technology solutions.

Education qualification Minimum Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree, MCA.

Domain/ Industry – Experience in the Insurance industry is highly desirable and considered a robust asset.
