About the ProjectWe are conducting a structured door-to-door ground survey across different localities of Chandigarh to collect primary information directly from residents.

The project involves visiting households, conducting short surveys/interviews using a structured questionnaire, accurately recording responses, and submitting daily field updates.

Key Responsibilities

- Visit assigned residential areas/localities in Chandigarh.
- Conduct door-to-door surveys with residents using a predefined questionnaire.
- Explain the purpose of the survey clearly and respectfully.
- Record responses accurately using a mobile/tablet-based form or survey sheet.
- Cover the assigned number of households within the given timeline.
- Maintain locality-wise and daily survey records.
- Capture basic observations from the field where required.
- Report any issues, incomplete responses, or unusual field situations to the project coordinator.
- Submit daily progress updates, including:
- Number of households approached
- Number of completed surveys
- Locality/area covered
- Pending households
- Key field observations
- Maintain confidentiality of respondents and survey information.
- Follow the project's field guidelines and data-quality standards.

Candidate ProfileWe are looking for motivated college students, recent graduates, interns, and volunteers who are comfortable working in the field. Desired Skills

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking with people from different backgrounds.
- Ability to travel within assigned areas of Chandigarh.
- Basic smartphone knowledge.
- Ability to accurately enter and maintain data.

- Knowledge of Hindi/Punjabi/English will be useful.

Prior field-survey experience is an advantage but not mandatory. Project StructureSelected interns/volunteers will receive:

2. Questionnaire and field guidelines
3. Locality/area allocation
4. Daily survey targets
5. Daily reporting format
6. Support from a project coordinator during fieldwork

The team will be divided into small groups, with each group assigned specific localities/areas to ensure systematic coverage. Expected DeliverablesBy the end of the 2-week project, each team member is expected to:
- Complete the assigned number of verified household surveys.
- Submit accurate and complete survey data.
- Maintain daily field records.
- Complete the assigned localities within the project timeline.
- Submit a final fieldwork summary.

Compensation₹15,000–₹20,000 for the 2-week project, depending on the candidate's role, experience, field responsibilities, and completion of assigned deliverables. For volunteers/interns, the exact compensation structure can be communicated during selection.

LocationFieldwork will be conducted across different residential localities of Chandigarh. Specific areas will be allocated to individuals or teams.
