Position: GM Operations

Location: Nagpur

Responsibilities

- Plant Operations Management: Direct all aspects of plant operations including production, maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain logistics; ensure uninterrupted manufacturing processes, optimal machine efficiency, and adherence to production KPIs. This includes managing operations involving specific equipment used in specialty chemical production (e.g., compounding lines, mixers, various reactors).

- Strategic Planning and Financial Management: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with overall business goals to drive growth and profitability. Manage the annual budget, drive cost optimization initiatives (energy, raw materials, logistics), and oversee P&L; performance for the site.

- Safety, Health, and Environment (EHS): Lead and enforce a safety-first culture, ensuring strict compliance with all local, national, and global environmental and safety regulations, including process safety management (PSM) and HAZOP studies. This includes specific expertise in handling hazardous chemicals, exothermic reactions, and solvent recovery processes typical in specialty chemical synthesis. Oversee incident investigation and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Quality Assurance Compliance:



Ensure strict adherence to industry-specific quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, ASTM). Drive the reduction of production defects, manage customer complaints, and ensure product consistency and quality for domestic and export markets, which often have stringent requirements for specialty products.

- People Leadership Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a large cross-functional team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative work environment. Coordinate manpower planning, training, and talent retention efforts.

- Project Management Continuous Improvement: Oversee capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, plant upgrades, and capacity expansions. Lead continuous improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) and support recent product development (NPD) and trial runs crucial for the innovative specialty chemicals market.

- Stakeholder Regulatory Liaison: Liaise with local authorities, statutory bodies (e.g., Pollution Control Board, Factory Inspectorate), and government agencies to ensure all operations are legally compliant. Coordinate with corporate teams, R&D;, and marketing to align operational initiatives with business priorities.
