FloData Analytics is seeking a motivated GIS Intern to support geospatial projects in land records, real estate, infrastructure, logistics, utilities and analytics. The intern will work with spatial datasets, maps, satellite imagery and web GIS platforms to produce accurate, helpful and visually clear outputs.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, edit and manage GIS layers using QGIS and ArcGIS Pro.
- Digitize features from satellite imagery, CAD drawings, PDFs and scanned maps.
- Georeference maps, layouts and land-record documents, and carry out accuracy checks.
- Clean, validate and organize spatial and attribute data.
- Perform basic spatial analysis, including buffer, overlay, area calculation and suitability analysis.
- Prepare thematic maps, labels, symbology, legends and print-ready map layouts.
- Convert data between SHP, GeoJSON, KML, CSV, Excel, raster and other GIS formats.
- Support parcel, land-use, zoning, road and infrastructure mapping projects.
- Assist with publishing maps and data to web GIS platforms.




- Maintain project folders, metadata and documentation.
- Learn and assist with GIS automation using Python, PyQGIS or basic geospatial libraries

Required Skills

- Basic understanding of GIS concepts, coordinate systems, projections and spatial data.
- Working knowledge of QGIS and ArcGIS Pro.
- Ability to work with vector and raster data.
- Familiarity with Excel or CSV data cleaning and attribute-table management.
- Basic understanding of digitization, georeferencing and map creation.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling boundaries, coordinates and land records.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently on assigned tasks.

Preferred Skills

- Basic knowledge of Python, especially for GIS automation.
- Exposure to ArcGIS Online, Mapbox, PostGIS or remote sensing.
- Understanding of land records, parcel mapping, zoning or real estate GIS data.

Eligibility

- Final-year college Students or recent graduates in GIS, Geography, Geoinformatics, or Remote Sensing.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
