Role Description The Garde Manger is a full time, on-site role based at The Mirador Hotel in Mumbai. This role is responsible for preparing and presenting cold kitchen items such as salads, canapés, cold appetizers, terrines, and desserts, following established recipes and hotel standards.

The Garde

Manger organizes mise en place, ensures proper storage and labeling of ingredients, and maintains strict hygiene and food safety practices. The role involves coordinating with the culinary team, supporting banquet and restaurant service, monitoring inventory for the cold kitchen, and minimizing waste.

Manger also contributes to menu development, presentation ideas, and quality improvement initiatives while maintaining a clean and efficient workstation throughout each shift.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong food preparation, cooking, and general culinary skills.




- Candidates should possess knowledge of food & beverage operations and standards in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with kitchen and service teams.
- Formal culinary education or certification from a recognized institute is preferred.
- Prior experience in a hotel kitchen, particularly in Garde Manger or cold kitchen, is an advantage.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper storage practices is essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and perform in a quick-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork mindset, and commitment to consistent quality and presentation.
