Role Description The Functional Tester role is a full-time, in office position based in Hyderabad. This role involves planning and executing functional test cases to validate software features against business requirements.

The Functional

Tester will review requirements and design documents, identify test scenarios, prepare test data, and perform manual test execution. Day-to-day tasks include logging and tracking defects, collaborating with developers and business analysts to clarify issues, supporting regression testing, and participating in test reviews. The role also includes contributing to test documentation and providing clear,



structured feedback on product quality and usability.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Functional Testing and Test Execution skills to validate software behavior against specified requirements.
- Candidates should possess Test Management and Test Strategy skills to plan, organize, and prioritize testing activities effectively.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, and investigate defects thoroughly.
- Experience with defect tracking tools, test management platforms, and documentation of test cases and results.
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC, with the ability to work closely with development and product teams.
- Attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Exposure to automation testing tools and scripting is an added advantage.
