Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Engineering

- Lead the design of MV/LV switchgear systems, including PCC, MCC, control panels, and distribution boards

- Review and approve

- Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)

- General Arrangement (GA) drawings

- Schematics and wiring diagrams
- Ensure designs comply with international standards such as IEC, ANSI, and local regulations

2. Project Management

- Coordinate with project managers to align design deliverables with project schedules
- Monitor progress of design activities and resolve technical issues
- Support project execution teams during manufacturing, testing, and commissioning

3. Team Leadership

- Manage and mentor a team of electrical design engineers and draftsmen
- Allocate tasks and ensure effective utilization of resources
- Conduct technical reviews and training sessions

4. Technical Expertise

- Selection and sizing of:
- Circuit breakers (ACB, VCB, MCCB)

- Busbars and cables




- Protection relays and metering systems
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies
- Interface with clients, consultants, and vendors for technical discussions

5. Quality & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and documentation standards
- Participate in design audits and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies

6. Client Coordination

- Review client drawings and technical submittals
- Provide technical clarifications to clients and consultants
- Support tendering and estimation teams with technical inputs

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred)
- 10+yrs years of experience in MV/LV switchgear design
- Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role
