As a Product Specialist for Consumer Benefits and COBRA, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of file processing workflows related to our consumer directed benefits (FSA, HSA, HRA, Commuter, etc.) and COBRA administration products. You will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving errors that occur during file processing as well as proactively working to prevent future issues. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including Client Engagement, Client Services, Vendor Integration, Software Development, and operations to maintain seamless and high-quality service delivery to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis of file processing errors and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- File Error Investigation & Resolution: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve errors arising from file processing related to Consumer Benefits and COBRA products (including file imports, exports, and data reconciliation).
- Data Validation: Verify and validate the integrity of data files (e.g., eligibility files, EDI feeds) to ensure they meet product and client requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas of improvement within the file processing system, propose enhancements, and work with technical teams to implement changes that improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders including client engagement, customer services, vendor integration, software development, and operations, to communicate and address file processing challenges and solutions.
- Documentation:



Maintain accurate records of file error issues, solutions implemented, and best practices to ensure effective knowledge transfer and process consistency.
- Compliance & Data Privacy: Ensure all file processing activities are performed in a timely manner and comply with relevant industry standards, data privacy regulations (HIPAA), and internal policies.

Required Skills

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role (business analyst), preferably in the healthcare, advantages administration, or insurance industry.
- Familiarity with Consumer Directed Benefits, COBRA/Direct Bill industry, and file processing workflows.
- Strong knowledge of file formats (e.g. CSV, XML, Edi) and data transfer protocols.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other data manipulation tools.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of Alegeus’ Consumer Directed Benefits and COBRA platforms will be a great plus.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, professional demeanor, and ability to work in a team environment and with all levels within the organization.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and demonstration of flexibility in meeting client needs.
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze and problem solve is essential. Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, and successfully work under time constraints.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required. A strong, hands-on knowledge of Salesforce is strongly preferred.
