Role & responsibilities

The EDI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining B2B/EDI integrations using Babelway. This role requires strong technical expertise in mapping, transformation, and partner onboarding, combined with the ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders for requirements gathering, testing, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering &
- Stakeholder Collaboration

- Engage with business teams to understand integration needs, data flows, and process requirements.

- Translate business requirements into transparent, actionable technical specifications.

- Maintain regular cadence with stakeholders for updates, issue resolution, and reporting.

1. Trading Partner (TP) Setup &
- Specification Creation

- Configure new trading partners on Babelway, including channels, flows, and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, API, etc.).

- Create and maintain TP setup documentation, mapping specifications, and integration design artifacts.

- Ensure compliance with partner-specific standards (X12, EDIFACT,



XML, JSON, flat files).

1. Mapping Development &
- Integration Build

- Develop, test, and deploy EDI mappings using Babelways transformation tools.

- Implement data validation, enrichment, routing, and exception-handling logic.

- Optimize integration flows for performance, reliability, and maintainability.

1. Unit Testing &
- Integration Testing

- Perform unit testing of all mappings and flows to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Coordinate and execute end-to-end integration testing with trading partners and internal teams.

- Troubleshoot and resolve defects, data issues, and communication failures.

1. Monitoring, Support &
- Reporting

- Monitor daily EDI transactions, proactively identify failures, and resolve issues.

- Provide timely updates, dashboards, and status reports to stakeholders.

- Maintain SLAs for incident response, partner onboarding, and change requests.
