The Role Mandate

As Director / Head - Media Solutions Technology Innovation Centre (MS TIC) , you will lead the establishment, growth and operation of the Centre. You will define its technology vision and multi-year roadmap, guide next-generation architecture decisions, establish research and technical governance, and engage executive stakeholders. The mandate combines technology leadership, innovation management and organization building to create a world-class research and engineering capability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Governance and Organization

- Define the TIC vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for Chromium lightweighting, Advanced System Integration and future programs.
- Establish research methodologies, governance and technical review mechanisms.
- Own research portfolio planning, execution tracking, risk management and governance.
- Represent the TIC in executive leadership reviews and lead periodic executive reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement in technical execution and operational efficiency.

Architecture, Research and Delivery

- Guide next-generation architecture decisions, technology evaluations and research priorities.
- Ensure successful delivery of technical milestones, KPIs and innovation outcomes.
- Drive patents, research outcomes and technology contributions.
- Lead technology strategy across software platforms, embedded systems, browser and runtime technologies, operating systems and system integration.
- Enable performance and memory optimization across Chromium, Embedded Linux and webOS-related architecture.

How the Centre Works

MS TIC will operate as a high-ownership research and engineering setting. The Centre will connect technology strategy, architecture evaluation, portfolio governance and delivery execution, while collaborating with global engineering teams and open-source communities.





Mandatory Skills and Experience͏

Experience and leadership

- 15+ years of experience, including at least 5+ years leading large-scale R&D; organizations, Innovation Centres, CoEs or engineering teams.
- Proven ability to define technology strategy, lead innovation programs and manage senior technical talent.
- Experience defining technology roadmaps and long-term research directions.

Technical and platform depth

- Experience in software platforms, embedded systems, browser/runtime technologies and operating systems within large-scale engineering organizations.
- Experience in Chromium, Embedded Linux, System Integration and Software Architecture.
- Demonstrated focus on performance and memory optimization.

Educational Qualification͏

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
