Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and manage complex infrastructure and platform solutions across hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and on-premises systems.

- Lead public cloud migration and on-premises modernization initiatives, including OpenStack migration where applicable.

- Architect and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Atlantis, Crossplane, and Ansible.

- Build and maintain automation pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo Workflows, Argo CD, and Argo Rollouts.

- Implement progressive delivery practices, including blue-green and canary deployment strategies.

- Develop Python and/or Go tooling and automation that improves operational efficiency and developer productivity, applying AIOps principles where appropriate.

- Oversee Kubernetes infrastructure, including deployment, scaling, cluster operations, and management of custom operators. Apply scaling technologies such as CAS and Karpenter where appropriate.

- Implement and manage Istio or a similar service mesh and gateway solution for Kubernetes workloads.

- Build and scale observability solutions using Dynatrace, Splunk, and open-source tools, providing end-to-end visibility across applications and infrastructure.

- Establish product resiliency practices, including high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and AWS resiliency best practices.

- Design and execute Chaos Engineering practices to identify weaknesses and improve system resilience.

- Drive multi-cloud cost optimization through monitoring, governance, and automated cost-control measures.

- Create and maintain product security scorecards aligned with organizational benchmarks, and promote secure application builds, packaging, deployments, and DevOps tooling.

- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues through to resolution.

- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architecture and platform standards.

- Collaborate with globally distributed architects,



developers, and SRE teams, including participation in shift coverage needed to support global teams.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a related field.

- Deep understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud environments, particularly AWS and Azure.

- Strong Python and/or Go programming skills for automation, scripting, and tooling.

- Proficiency with Kubernetes, including cluster operations, scaling, and custom operator development or management.

- Advanced experience with CI/CD and progressive delivery tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, and Argo Rollouts.

- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools, especially Terraform and Ansible.

- Solid Linux system administration, shell scripting, performance optimization, and troubleshooting skills.

- Proven experience implementing and scaling observability platforms using Dynatrace, Splunk, and/or comparable open-source technologies.

- Experience designing and enforcing cost optimization strategies in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.

- Experience with Istio or another service mesh technology and its configuration.

- Knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML API standards.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams.

- Good understanding of Agile development practices.

- Ability to analyze complex problems and troubleshoot them to resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AIOps, AI/ML, generative AI implementations, or MLOps platforms and frameworks.

- Experience securing application builds, packages, deployments, and DevOps platforms.

- Cloud or Kubernetes certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CKA, or CKAD.

- Knowledge of the HCM or HRMS domain.
