About the Role:

We're looking for a robust engineer with real depth in system design, software architecture, and building scalable, production-grade systems.

You think in terms of systems, trade-offs, and long-term maintainability, and you deliver robust solutions end to end. We build scalable services and AI agents (using the OpenAI Agents SDK) — core software engineering is what we test for; AI/LLM exposure is a plus.

What You'll Do:

- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, high-performance services and APIs.
- Own architectural decisions for your area and articulate trade-offs (performance, scalability, cost).
- Lead end-to-end design — data modeling, service boundaries, orchestration, deployment.
- Ensure systems are observable, fault-tolerant, and production-ready.
- Raise the bar on code quality, reviews, and engineering standards; mentor others.

What We're Looking For:

- 5–8 years designing distributed systems and scalable architectures.




- Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and observability, with the ability to explain design trade-offs.
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with production services, APIs, and data stores (SQL/NoSQL), including caching and messaging/queues.
- Solid fundamentals — clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
- Experience with a cloud platform (AWS or GCP).

Nice to Have:

- Exposure to AI agents / agentic frameworks (OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, LangChain).
- Familiarity with LLM application patterns, orchestration, and RAG pipelines.
- Data engineering: batch/streaming pipelines, warehouse/lakehouse modeling, orchestration (Airflow, dbt), and powering reporting/analytics.
- Foundational ML and data concepts.
