Role & responsibilities:

- Design and develop complete Bus Body & Structure systems including BIW, Underframe, Side Structure, Roof Structure, Front & Rear End Modules, Passenger Cabin Structure and Mounting Brackets.Having Sound knowledge of Plastic Trims Design & development

- Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks for 3D part modeling, sheet metal modeling, welded structures, assemblies, detailing and release activities.

- Perform body structure layout, section optimization, weight reduction studies, packaging checks and manufacturability assessment.

- Support structural calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T; application, DFM/DFA studies and CAE validation activities.

- Coordinate with Styling, Vehicle Integration, Manufacturing, CAE, Quality, Suppliers and Program teams.

- Prepare engineering drawings, BOM, DFMEA, DVP&R;, design reports, ECNs and release documents.

- Support prototype builds, issue resolution, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

- Ensure timely completion of design deliverables as per project milestones.





- Interact with fabrication suppliers, body builders and manufacturing teams for design feasibility

REQUIREMENTS

- Diploma or Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field.

- Sound experience in Bus Body & Structure Design and Development.

- Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks. Exposure to AutoCAD and PLM tools is added advantage.

- Good understanding of sheet metal design, welded structures, GD&T;, DFM/DFA and vehicle integration.

- Knowledge of fabrication processes, welding techniques, fixtures and tooling feasibility.

- Familiarity with structural strength requirements, rollover regulations, AIS standards and OEM specifications.

- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

- Robust analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Understanding of steel, stainless steel, aluminum sections, composites and manufacturing processes.
