- Design target data architecture to support enterprise modernization initiatives, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

- Develop data models (conceptual, logical, physical) aligned with business requirements and futurestate architecture.

- Lead data migration design from legacy mainframe systems (DB2, VSAM, IMS) to PostgreSQL, including schema translation and stored procedure refactoring.

- Define data quality strategy with governance frameworks, validation rules, and cleansing processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Execute DB2-to-PostgreSQL conversion including performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

- Manage VSAM-to-PostgreSQL conversion by mapping hierarchical flatfile structures into normalized relational schemas.

- Oversee IMS hierarchy conversion to relational PostgreSQL models, ensuring data integrity and lineage.

- Establish data lineage across ETL pipelines, reporting layers, and downstream applications for compliance and audit readiness.





- Design advanced indexing strategies to optimize query performance and reduce latency in PostgreSQL.

- Collaborate with application teams, business stakeholders, and infrastructure SMEs to align database solutions with enterprise goals.

- Provide technical leadership in modernization projects, guiding junior DBAs and developers on best practices.

- Document architecture, migration approaches, and operational procedures for knowledge transfer and longterm support.

- Support full lifecycle activities: requirement gathering, design, build, test, deployment, hypercare, and production support.

- Drive continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities and optimizing legacytomodern migration processes.
