This role will provide opportunity to have a direct impact on the security of Schwab client data this makes a difference to everyone at Schwab. It also provides ability to work with a diverse team in multiple areas of Data Protection – Database Security. The candidate will face a variety of challenges to keep the work interesting – new database security scenarios emerge regularly and require problem solving and communication skills which will help you grow.

Review alerts of database user activity which meets defined conditions of high-risk behavior

Document investigation results and escalate appropriately where investigation results include potentially unmitigated security risk

Perform tasks related to the continuous deployment of database user activity monitoring tools on servers hosting sensitive data.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)





• Two or more years of cybersecurity, operations center, or technology operations experience working in case or ticketbased workflows

• Ability to write and run SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and reconcile data

• Experience using code or scripts to automate repeatable tasks such as data cleanup, evidence collection, or reporting

• Experience supporting security controls in production environments and following defined operating procedures

• Working knowledge of monitoring, alert triage, and investigation fundamentals

• Solid attention to detail with disciplined documentation and evidence handling

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams
