About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Azure cloud technologies to join our dynamic team at UST. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and analytics solutions.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale data projects, utilizing the latest tools and frameworks such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Apache Spark. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, ensuring data quality, security, and performance optimization. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about data engineering, cloud technology, and innovative problem-solving.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. Hands-on experience with cloud-based data engineering tools and frameworks is essential.

Proficiency in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Apache Spark, PySpark, and SQL is required.



Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database is also necessary. Candidates should have a positive understanding of ETL/ELT pipeline development, data warehousing concepts, and version control systems like Git.

Relevant certifications in Azure Data Engineering or Cloud Computing will be considered a plus. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with excellent problem-solving skills, is vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Spark technologies to facilitate data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.

Implement and optimize data models, ensuring data integrity, quality, and security across various platforms and repositories.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure data availability.

Develop and maintain documentation related to data architecture, pipelines, and processes for compliance and knowledge sharing.

Participate in code reviews, promote best practices in coding, and ensure adherence to organizational standards.

Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud data engineering,



implementing innovative solutions to improve existing systems.

Assist in the deployment of data solutions within CI/CD pipelines, utilizing Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for automation and efficiency.

Ensure data security and governance policies are followed, implementing necessary controls and audits.

Contribute to Agile/Scrum methodologies, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to deliver high-quality results on time.
