Position Title: Senior MS Fabric Data Architect – Veeva CTMS

Experience Required: 10–15+ years overall IT, with 6+ years in Azure data architecture and strong Microsoft Fabric experience, including hands-on Veeva CTMS implementation experience.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior MS Fabric Data Architect to own the end-to-end data architecture strategy for enterprise-scale platforms on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. This is a senior, client-facing role requiring deep technical expertise, strong leadership presence, and the ability to independently drive architecture decisions across large, complex programs.

The role requires strong experience in Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, enterprise data architecture, data governance, security, modernization, and Veeva CTMS, with the ability to work closely with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and distributed engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and drive the enterprise data architecture roadmap across Azure and Microsoft Fabric, aligning with business strategy and long-term scalability goals.
- Architect complex, high-volume data platforms spanning batch, real-time, and streaming pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Event Hubs/Stream Analytics, and Data Lake Storage Gen2.
- Lead enterprise data modeling efforts — conceptual, logical, and physical — across multiple domains supporting analytics, BI, and AI/ML use cases.
- Define and enforce data governance, lineage, cataloging, and quality frameworks using Azure Purview or equivalent.
- Own security and compliance architecture, including encryption, RBAC,



Private Endpoints, Key Vault, data masking, and regulatory alignment.
- Serve as the primary technical authority in client architecture reviews, steering committees, and executive presentations.
- Lead and mentor data architects and senior data engineers across onshore/offshore teams.
- Drive modernization and migration initiatives from legacy/on-premise data platforms to Azure/Microsoft Fabric.
- Establish and govern CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), and DevOps practices.
- Own cost optimization and FinOps practices across Azure data services.
- Conduct architecture governance reviews, risk assessments, and HLD/LLD design authority sign-offs.
- Partner with enterprise architects, security teams, and business leadership to ensure alignment with overall IT strategy.
- Evaluate and pilot emerging Azure data and AI capabilities, including Microsoft Fabric.
- Provide technical leadership for Veeva CTMS data integration and implementation requirements.

- 10+ years in data engineering/architecture, with 6+ years hands-on in Azure data services at an architect level.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Proven Veeva CTMS implementation experience.

- Solid knowledge of Azure security and networking.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform/Bicep and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
- Strong background in MDM, data governance, and metadata management, including Purview, Collibra, or similar.
- Experience leading large-scale migrations from Teradata/Netezza/on-premise SQL platforms to Azure.
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to lead C-level/VP-level architecture discussions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Azure Data Engineer Associate.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
- Multi-cloud exposure — AWS Redshift/Glue, GCP BigQuery.
- Experience integrating AI/ML and GenAI pipelines.
- Experience as a practice lead or architecture SME.
- Strong Life Sciences domain experience and Veeva CTMS.
