Role & responsibilities

- Write, edit, and publish health, medical, and nutrition blog content, including simple, clear explanations of diseases and conditions for everyday readers

- Check AI-written health content against reliable sources and fix anything inaccurate or unclear before it's published

- Write and edit academic medical/dental material (journal papers, literature reviews, theses, and dissertations) following the formatting and referencing each one needs

- Write marketing content and strategy for hospital, healthcare, and health-tech clients

- Manage LinkedIn and social content for healthcare-focused brands • Follow positive practice for health content: back up claims with credible sources, and flag anything that needs a doctor's or expert's review • Perform keyword research and apply SEO to health content

- Work with industry experts when a topic needs technical review

- Review and guide newer writers on the team

- Manage multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred candidate profile

- No specific degree required (we care about demonstrated writing skill and relevant experience, not formal credentials)

- 0 - 1 years writing or editing health, medical,



or scientific content (agency, freelance, hospital, or health-tech experience all count)

- A portfolio of published health/medical writing is what we look at most; academic writing samples (journal papers, theses) are a bonus

- Able to explain medical or scientific topics in plain, accurate language a general reader can follow

- Comfortable with, or quick to learn, the formatting and citation styles used in academic journals and theses

- Good working knowledge of SEO, AEO, GEO especially for health content

- Experience checking AI-written content for accuracy • Strong English writing and editing skills

- Comfortable with WordPress and basic plagiarism-checking tools

- Able to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines

- We assess through a writing sample and portfolio review, not degrees

- A content writing certification is a bonus, not a requirement (your portfolio matters more)

- Experience with systematic reviews or clinical writing

- Experience editing theses or dissertations

- Experience mentoring other writers
