Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Concrete Technologist to drive concrete technology, mix optimisation and concrete performance across ASBL's high-rise residential projects.

The role will work closely with project teams, RMC suppliers, concrete/admixture manufacturers, consultants and QA/QC teams to ensure consistent concrete quality, performance and cost optimisation across projects.

Key Responsibilities

Concrete Technology & Mix Design

- Develop, review and optimise concrete mix designs across different grades.
- Work on high-strength, high-performance, SCC, SDC and other specialised concrete requirements.
- Evaluate cement, aggregates, fly ash, GGBS, silica fume and chemical admixtures.
- Conduct and monitor laboratory and site trials.
- Optimise concrete mixes for strength, workability, durability and cost.

Project & Site Support

- Provide technical support to project teams for concrete-related issues.
- Investigate concrete quality/performance issues and identify root causes.
- Monitor slump, workability retention, temperature, cube strength and other critical parameters.
- Support troubleshooting related to pumping, placing, finishing, segregation, bleeding, setting and strength development.
- Conduct site visits and technical audits across projects.

RMC & Vendor Management

- Technically evaluate RMC suppliers and concrete/admixture vendors.




- Review raw material quality and supplier test certificates.
- Work with RMC plants on mix design, production consistency and quality deviations.
- Evaluate and approve admixtures/materials through technical trials.

Quality & Standards

- Establish and monitor concrete technology standards across projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS codes, project specifications and quality standards.
- Review concrete test data and identify trends/deviations.
- Support QA/QC teams in developing concrete testing and control practices.

Innovation & Cost Optimisation

- Identify opportunities for concrete cost reduction without compromising performance.
- Evaluate alternative materials and new concrete technologies.
- Drive trials for improved durability, productivity and sustainability.
- Standardise successful solutions across projects.

What We're Looking For

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering; M.E./M.Tech in Structural/Concrete Technology preferred.
- 10 to 18 years of experience in Concrete Technology / RMC / Admixtures / QA-QC / Construction.
- Strong hands-on experience in concrete mix design and site trials.
- Experience with high-rise construction will be strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of cement, aggregates, mineral admixtures and chemical admixtures.
- Experience in troubleshooting concrete quality and performance issues.
- Strong knowledge of relevant IS codes and concrete testing.
- Experience working with RMC plants, admixture companies, contractors and project teams.
- Positive analytical and problem-solving skills.
