The Commis Chef is responsible for supporting the kitchen team in food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. This is an entry-level culinary role designed to develop skills under the guidance of senior chefs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to standard recipes and instructions.
- Ensure all ingredients are properly prepared, portioned, and stored.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and service.
- Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) and minimize wastage.
- Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
- Maintain personal grooming and hygiene standards.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality.

Skills & Qualifications:





- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Culinary diploma or relevant training preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work under pressure in a quick-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Experience:

- 1–2 years of experience in a kitchen environment (freshers with culinary training can apply).

Working Conditions:

- Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically demanding role involving long hours of standing.
- Exposure to heat, sharp tools, and kitchen equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
