2.# VMC Programming Supervisor / Team Leader

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced VMC Programming Supervisor / Team Leader who can lead and coordinate the VMC programming team during the assigned shift, ensuring efficient programming, smooth production flow, and timely completion of all production requirements.

### Key Responsibilities

* Lead and supervise all VMC programmers during the assigned shift and ensure effective utilization of the programming team.

* Allocate drawings and programming activities to programmers based on workload, complexity, machine requirements, and individual expertise.

* Provide technical guidance and support to programmers and CNC/VMC operators for resolving programming, machining, and process-related issues.

* Review drawings and determine the appropriate raw material size, machining process, and manufacturing sequence.

* Define suitable machine allocation based on component requirements, machine capacity, axis configuration, work envelope, and machining capabilities.

* Plan and optimize cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, accessories, and machining strategies required to complete components efficiently.

* Ensure the smooth flow of production by identifying and resolving programming, tooling, machine, and process-related bottlenecks.

* Coordinate closely with shop-floor supervisors, operators, quality, and production teams to achieve planned output and delivery targets.

* Support shop-floor supervisors in production planning,



manpower allocation, machine utilization, and output achievement.

* Assist programmers in optimizing programming time, tool paths, machining strategies, and program preparation.

* Continuously identify opportunities to reduce cycle time, improve machine productivity, and increase overall machining efficiency.

* Standardize and improve programming methods, machining processes, and best practices across the VMC programming team.

* Monitor the status of drawings, programs, and production requirements to ensure timely availability of CNC programs to the shop floor.

* Analyze machining issues and implement corrective actions to prevent production stoppages and recurring problems.

* Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve productivity, quality, and process reliability.

* Ensure proper communication and handover between shifts regarding program status, pending drawings, machine issues, and production priorities.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to cycle-time reduction, tool optimization, process improvement, and machine utilization.

3. Required Qualifications:-

- Minimum 10 years of CNC/MCT machining experience.
- Strong proficiency in 4-axis & 5-axis programming (MasterCAM, UG NX).
- Experience in machining process optimization (conditions, tools, tool life).
- Ability to read drawings, design machining processes, and modify G-code.
- Proven leadership experience supervising programmers/operators.
- Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, and resin materials.
- Strong problem-solving and in office communication skills.

4. Preferred Qualifications:-

- Degree in mechanical engineering or relevant certification.
- Proficient in CAM/CAD software (MasterCAM, UG NX).
- Experience in advanced 5-axis machining and complex geometry machining.
- Experience in CAM automation and tool library/template setup. Familiarity with MES / ERP systems.

5. Language Requirements:-

- Basic English communication required.
- Kannada language skills preferred.

6. Other Requirements:-

- Willing to work overtime.
- Willing to work in two shifts (day/night).
