Civil Maintenance Engineer specializing in roof and wall leakage remediation to oversee the upkeep, structural integrity, and repair of our facilities. In this role, you will be the primary technical expert responsible for diagnosing water ingress issues, designing effective waterproofing solutions, and managing repair projects from inspection to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesInspection &

- Diagnosis

- Leakage Detection: Conduct routine inspections and use advanced diagnostic tools (e.g., thermal imaging, moisture meters) to pinpoint the exact sources of roof and wall leaks.

- Root Cause Analysis: Assess structural defects, failing membranes, damaged flashing, or poor drainage systems causing water penetration.

Maintenance &

- Repair Management

- Solution Designing: Select and specify the correct waterproofing systems (e.g., polyurethane coating, bituminous membranes, crystalline waterproofing, injection grouting).

- Execution Oversight: Supervise hands-on repairs for concrete cracks, expansion joints, parapet walls, and damaged roof substrates.

- Vendor Management: Allocate work to specialized waterproofing contractors and monitor their daily progress.

Quality Control &

- Safety

- Material Standards: Verify that all waterproofing compounds, sealants, and chemicals meet industry standards and project specifications.

- Testing Assurance: Oversee flood testing, ponding tests,



and hose testing to ensure repair integrity before final sign-off.

- HSE Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental protocols, especially for scaffolding, heights, and chemical handling.

Budgeting &

- Reporting

- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for preventative maintenance and emergency leakage fixes.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance schedules, structural inspection reports, and warranty documents for waterproofing treatments.

Required Qualifications &

- Experience

- Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.

- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in civil maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years of dedicated experience in large-scale waterproofing and leak rectification.

Technical Competencies

- Deep knowledge of modern waterproofing chemicals, admixtures, and membranes (e.g., Dr. Fixit, Fosroc, Sika products).

- Strong understanding of building layouts, expansion joints, and structural drainage design.

- Ability to interpret structural blueprints and civil engineering drawings.

Soft Skills

- Robust problem-solving abilities to handle chronic or hidden leakages.

- Excellent project management and communication skills to coordinate with building occupants and contractors.
