Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Autobahn Group 1.

Position Overview Autobahn Group is a leading multi-brand automotive dealership platform with operations across:

- BharatBenz (DICV Commercial Vehicles) • Mahindra (Passenger Vehicles) • Tata Hitachi (Construction Equipment) • Montra (Electric Trucks) • Other portfolio companies in with Autobahn investment The CFO will play a critical role in building a scalable, compliant, and investor-ready finance function. 2.

Key Responsibilities A.

Financial

Leadership & Strategy • Lead the overall Finance & Accounts function across the Group.

- Partner with MD/CEO in strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and growth planning.
- Develop financial strategy aligned with expansion and IPO roadmap. B.

Financial

Reporting & Controls • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Establish and institutionalise a monthly book closure process.
- Implement strong internal financial controls and governance frameworks.
- Standardise accounting policies across entities and locations. C. IPO Readiness & Investor Management • Lead preparation for IPO over next 3–5 years: o Financial structuring o Audit readiness o MIS standardisation o Corporate governance • Interface with: o Investors o Investment bankers o Auditors and legal advisors • Oversee due diligence processes. D.

Business

Finance & Performance Management • Drive business analytics and performance monitoring across: o Sales (CV & PV)



o Service & Parts o Margins and contribution o Inventory and receivables o Working capital • Support creation of dashboards and KPI tracking systems.
- Enable data-driven decision-making for management. E. Treasury & Working Capital Management • Manage banking relationships, working capital lines, and funding structures.
- Optimise cash flows, inventory financing, and receivable cycles.
- Structure funding for expansion F. Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure full compliance with: o Income Tax, GST, Companies Act o Labour law and commercial law compliance o OEM-related compliance requirements o Internal policies and governance standards • Implement robust compliance tracking and reporting systems.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. G. Audit & Regulatory Management • Manage statutory audit, internal audit, and tax audits.
- Ensure audit closure within timelines with minimal qualifications.
- Strengthen audit processes and documentation standards. H. Team Leadership & Capability Building • Build and lead a high-performance finance team.
- Strengthen both: o Operational finance (accounts, compliance) o Strategic finance (analytics, MIS, planning) • Develop second-line leadership within finance. I. Systems & Process Improvement • Drive implementation of DMS/ERP / BI systems and automation.
- Integrate data across:



o Accounting systems o Dealer management systems o BI tools • Improve reporting efficiency and accuracy. 3.

Candidate Profile

Qualification • Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory • Additional qualifications (CS/MBA - Finance) – Preferred Experience • Minimum 15+ years post-qualification experience • Must have experience as: o Head of Finance / CFO / Senior Finance Leadership role • Strong exposure to: o Multi-location operations o High working capital businesses o Structured reporting environments Industry Preference Highly preferred:
- Automobile dealership / OEM distribution • Auto ancillary / equipment distribution • Retail / multi-branch operations Key Competencies • Solid business acumen and commercial understanding • Ability to translate numbers into actionable insights • High ownership and execution capability • Strong stakeholder management (promoters, investors, OEMs) • Leadership and team-building skills • Attention to detail with strategic mindset 4.

Reporting

Structure • Reports directly to Managing Director / CEO • Works closely with: o Business Heads o External advisors (auditors, consultants, bankers)

Preferred candidate profile An accomplished finance leader who has successfully managed the finance function of a large, multi-location automotive dealership or distribution business, has experience with business expansion, capital raising, and IPO preparation, and can partner with the MD/CEO to drive strategic growth while ensuring financial discipline, governance, and operational excellence.
