Job Summary The Block Vacuuming Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring the vacuum impregnation process for natural marble blocks to enhance their strength, durability, and quality before further processing. The role ensures proper vacuum treatment, resin penetration, adherence to quality standards, equipment upkeep, and compliance with safety procedures while achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities1. Block Vacuuming Operations

- Operate the block vacuuming machine as per approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Load and unload marble blocks safely into the vacuum chamber.
- Perform vacuum impregnation processes according to specified production parameters.
- Ensure proper vacuum pressure, cycle time, and resin penetration as per quality requirements.
- Monitor machine performance throughout the operating cycle.

1. Production Execution

- Achieve daily production targets without compromising quality.
- Coordinate with Resin Line, Block Cutting, and Production teams for smooth material flow.
- Minimize machine idle time and optimize production efficiency.
- Ensure correct identification and handling of production batches.

1. Quality Control

- Inspect marble blocks before and after the vacuuming process.
- Verify complete resin penetration and treatment quality.
- Report defects such as cracks, incomplete vacuuming, resin leakage, or process abnormalities.
- Segregate rejected or damaged blocks as per quality procedures.

1. Machine Maintenance

- Conduct daily machine inspection before the start of the shift.
- Maintain vacuum pumps, valves, pipelines, gauges, and chamber cleanliness.
- Identify equipment abnormalities and immediately inform the Maintenance team.
- Support preventive maintenance activities.

1. Safety & Housekeeping





- Follow all safety guidelines while handling heavy marble blocks and resin materials.
- Wear prescribed PPE at all times.
- Maintain clean work areas following 5S standards.
- Ensure secure lifting and movement practices during loading and unloading operations.

1. Documentation

- Record production quantity, cycle time, machine parameters, and downtime.
- Maintain machine logbooks and production records accurately.
- Report shift-wise production status to the Shift In-Charge.

Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma / Higher Secondary (Preferred)
- Certification in machine operation is an added advantage.

Experience
- 2–5 years of experience operating Block Vacuuming or Vacuum Resin Treatment machines.
- Experience in the Marble, Granite, Natural Stone, or Engineered Stone industry preferred.

Technical Skills
- Knowledge of vacuum impregnation processes.
- Understanding of resin treatment techniques.
- Ability to monitor vacuum pressure and machine parameters.
- Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance.
- Ability to read production instructions and quality specifications.
- Understanding of quality inspection procedures.
