We are looking for a full-time AutoCAD Mechanical Draftsman / Engineer to join our manufacturing team.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in AutoCAD mechanical drafting, be able to read and prepare engineering drawings, and have a basic understanding of boilers, pipelines and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify 2D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Read and understand existing mechanical/engineering drawings.
- Prepare fabrication and manufacturing drawings as required.
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Prepare drawings related to boilers, pipelines and mechanical components.
- Make basic pipeline layouts and drawings.
- Understand dimensions, sections, elevations, material specifications and fabrication details.
- Coordinate with the production/fabrication team to make drawings according to manufacturing requirements.
- Make revisions and corrections to drawings based on site/factory requirements.
- Maintain proper records of drawings and revisions.
Required Skills
Essential:
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Good mechanical drafting skills.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Ability to prepare drawings independently in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of preparing BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Basic knowledge of industrial pipelines and piping layouts.
- Basic understanding of boilers and boiler-related mechanical components.
- Understanding of basic mechanical fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
- Valuable understanding of dimensions, tolerances and material specifications.
Preferred Candidate Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be preferred:
- Boiler manufacturing
- Industrial piping
- Mechanical fabrication
- Pressure vessels / tanks
- Heat exchangers
- Manufacturing plants
- Industrial equipment
- Mechanical engineering projects
Education: Diploma / B.Tech / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification. Experience: Relevant experience in AutoCAD mechanical drafting is preferred. Freshers with strong AutoCAD skills and basic knowledge of mechanical drawings may also be considered.
