Carpresso, Kalamassery is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Painter with 1–3 years of relevant experience to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for vehicle surface preparation, painting, refinishing, colour matching, and delivering high-quality automotive finishes.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out automotive painting and refinishing work according to company quality standards.

- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, filling, priming, and other necessary processes.

- Inspect vehicle body surfaces and identify dents, scratches, imperfections, and areas requiring refinishing.

- Perform paint mixing and colour matching accurately to achieve the required vehicle colour and finish.

- Operate spray-painting equipment, spray guns, and other automotive painting tools safely and effectively.

- Apply primer, basecoat, clearcoat, and other automotive paint materials as required.

- Ensure proper blending and finishing of painted areas to match the existing vehicle surface.

- Identify and correct paint defects such as runs, uneven coating, orange peel, dust particles, and colour mismatch.

- Perform polishing, buffing, and final finishing to achieve a smooth and high-quality appearance.

- Maintain painting tools, spray guns, equipment, and work areas properly.

- Follow all workshop safety procedures and maintain cleanliness in the painting area.

- Complete assigned vehicle painting and refinishing jobs within the required time.





- Coordinate with body repair technicians and other workshop team members to ensure smooth job completion.

Requirements

- 1–3 years of relevant experience as an Auto Body Painter / Automotive Painter.

- Experience in automobile body shop, vehicle painting, or automotive refinishing work is preferred.

- Good knowledge of vehicle surface preparation, paint mixing, colour matching, and spray painting.

- Experience in applying primer, basecoat, clearcoat, and automotive refinishing products.

- Ability to operate spray guns and other automotive painting equipment properly.

- Good knowledge of polishing, buffing, and final paint finishing.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Ability to identify and rectify painting and finishing defects.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Responsible, disciplined, and professional attitude.

- Willingness to follow workshop safety and quality procedures.
