AVP - Collection Analytics

About the Role

We are looking for a senior professional to lead Collections Strategy and Business Analytics for our lending portfolio.

The role will have end-to-end oversight of Collections from a process, structure, business systems, analytics and operational solutions perspective. The incumbent will leverage data-driven insights to design effective collection strategies, improve portfolio performance and build scalable collection processes.

This is a strategic, cross-functional role requiring strong understanding of collections, lending portfolios, business analytics, operations and technology.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and drive Collections Strategy across lending portfolios and products.
- Design, develop and execute data-driven collection strategies to improve portfolio performance and recovery efficiency.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Collections Strategy, contributing to portfolio process design, reporting systems and technology workflows.
- Analyse customer behaviour, portfolio trends and segmentation data to design targeted collection strategies and campaigns.
- Partner with Data Analytics teams to identify actionable insights and translate them into business initiatives.
- Work with Product and Technology teams to enhance collection processes, workflows, systems and customer experience.
- Define and monitor annual, quarterly and monthly collection metrics and resource requirements.
- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions to improve collection efficiency.
- Drive scalable processes and solutions with a hands-on approach.




- Oversee consumer lifecycle management initiatives to maximize collection effectiveness.
- Collaborate with business, operations, analytics, product and other cross-functional teams to improve portfolio performance.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to expand the portfolio and unlock new use cases.
- Track industry trends, regulatory developments and best practices in collections and lending.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 12+ years of relevant experience in Collections Strategy, Collections Analytics, Portfolio Strategy, Lending Analytics, Collections Operations or Business Analytics.
- Strong experience in NBFCs, Banks, Fintechs or other lending businesses.
- Strong understanding of collections processes, customer segmentation, delinquency management and portfolio performance.
- Experience in using data and analytics to develop and implement collection strategies.
- Exposure to collections technology, workflow automation, process transformation or digital lending solutions will be an advantage.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analytics with operational and business outcomes.
- Experience of working closely with Data Analytics, Product, Technology and Operations teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous, rapid-paced environment and convert broad business requirements into actionable solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
