Role Description The Assistant Professor (Physiotherapy) will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and clinical teaching in physiotherapy, including lectures, practical sessions, demonstrations, and supervised clinical practice. Day-to-day tasks include designing and updating course materials, guiding students in laboratory and clinical settings, and evaluating student performance through assignments, exams, and practical assessments.

The role involves mentoring students on academic and career development, coordinating with colleagues to align curriculum with current clinical and industry standards, and participating in academic administration and departmental meetings.

Professor will be expected to engage in research or scholarly activities,



contribute to academic events such as workshops and seminars, and support accreditation and quality assurance processes. This is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

- Advanced academic qualifications in Physiotherapy (e.g., Master’s in Physiotherapy; Ph.D. or ongoing doctoral work is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of core physiotherapy domains such as musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and community-based rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in physiotherapy practice, with the ability to supervise and assess students in clinical and laboratory environments.
- Experience in curriculum design, lesson planning, and use of evidence-based teaching methodologies in higher education.
- Proficiency in student assessment, including practical examinations, OSCEs, written tests, and competency-based evaluation.
- Ability to conduct or contribute to research, publications, case studies, or clinical projects in physiotherapy or related health sciences.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach and mentor diverse student groups.
- Comfort with using digital tools and learning management systems for academic delivery and student engagement.
- Commitment to professional ethics, patient safety, and adherence to regulatory and institutional guidelines.
- Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level is preferred; experience in skill development or industry-linked programs is a plus.
