Electrical

Operations & Maintenance

- Supervise operation and maintenance of HT/LT electrical systems as permitted by the applicable license.

- Maintain electrical panels, MCC/PCC, transformers, motors, VFDs, compressors, pumps, and other plant equipment.

- Attend electrical breakdowns and coordinate corrective maintenance.

- Carry out and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.

- Check electrical load, voltage, current, power factor, and energy consumption.

- Ensure proper functioning of DG sets, UPS systems, and emergency power arrangements.

2.

Corrugation Machine Electrical

Systems

- Maintain electrical systems of corrugators, paper machines, boiler auxiliaries, glue systems, conveyors, printing machines, and converting equipment.

- Troubleshoot motors, sensors, VFDs, control panels, contactors, relays, and PLC-related electrical faults.

- Coordinate with machine OEM/service engineers during major breakdowns and modifications.

Electrical

Safety

- Ensure secure isolation/LOTO before electrical maintenance.

- Inspect earthing, electrical panels, cables, protection devices, and emergency arrangements.

- Prevent unauthorized persons from carrying out electrical work.





- Ensure electrical work is performed by competent/authorized personnel.

- Maintain electrical safety records and conduct toolbox talks where required.

4. Statutory & C-License Responsibilities

- Maintain required electrical inspection, testing, maintenance, and statutory records.

- Coordinate with the Tamil Nadu Electrical Inspectorate / relevant statutory authority for inspections and compliance, as applicable.

- Ensure electrical installations are operated and maintained according to applicable regulations and licence conditions.

- Coordinate testing of earthing systems, insulation resistance, protective devices, and other required electrical equipment.

5. Team & Contractor Management

- Supervise electricians and electrical technicians.

- Allocate daily maintenance work and monitor completion.

- Supervise electrical contractors and verify their work.

- Maintain spare-parts requirements and coordinate with stores/purchase.

6.

Energy

Management

- Monitor electricity consumption and demand.

- Identify opportunities to reduce power consumption.

- Monitor power factor and capacitor-bank performance.

- Prepare electrical energy reports for management.
