Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance professional with experience in CAPEX budgeting, actuals tracking, fixed asset accounting, SAP, Excel, and cash flow preparation. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring capital expenditure, ensuring timely capitalization of assets/WIP, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting cash flow and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and monitor CAPEX budgets in coordination with relevant business/functional teams.

- Track CAPEX actuals against approved budgets, analyze variances, and provide periodic reports to management.

- Monitor project-wise and department-wise capital expenditure and identify budget overruns or underutilization.

- Maintain and update CAPEX trackers and MIS reports using Excel.

- Handle capitalization of assets and Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP/WIP) in accordance with accounting policies.

- Review WIP balances and coordinate with project/operations teams for timely capitalization of completed assets.

- Ensure appropriate classification of expenditure between CAPEX, WIP, and revenue expenses.

- Record and maintain fixed asset-related transactions in SAP and ensure accuracy of asset master/data.

- Perform reconciliation of CAPEX, WIP, fixed assets, and related GL accounts.

- Prepare periodic cash flow statements/forecasts, with a focus on CAPEX-related cash outflows.

- Support working capital and cash flow planning by providing expected CAPEX payment requirements.

- Prepare monthly/quarterly finance reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.





- Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Procurement, Projects, and other stakeholders for accurate accounting and timely payments.

- Support internal and statutory audits by providing relevant CAPEX, fixed asset, WIP, and supporting documentation.

- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable accounting standards.

Required Skills &

- Qualifications

- CA, CMA or MBA

- Relevant experience in Finance &
- Accounting, preferably with exposure to CAPEX/fixed assets.

- Strong knowledge of CAPEX budgeting and actuals tracking.

- Hands-on knowledge of SAP, particularly finance/fixed asset-related processes.

- Strong MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data analysis, and reporting.

- Good understanding of fixed asset accounting and capitalization of CWIP/WIP.

- Experience in cash flow preparation and forecasting.

- Good analytical and reconciliation skills.

- Robust attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of financial data.

- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Experience

- 3-8 years of relevant experience in Finance &
- Accounting, preferably in an organization with significant capital expenditure/projects.
