Job Purpose

Responsible for end-to-end management of chemical synthesis projects, ensuring timely delivery as per agreed scope, quality, timelines and customer expectations.

The role will coordinate between customers, scientific teams, Sales & Marketing and internal stakeholders for smooth and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage multiple chemical synthesis projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.
- Work closely with scientific/technical teams to ensure project objectives and customer expectations are met.
- Coordinate with Sales & Marketing during project execution to align customer commitments, scope and timelines.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Synthesis, Analytical, QA/QC, Operations and other functions for smooth project execution.
- Communicate regularly with customers and share weekly project updates on progress, milestones, risks and next steps.
- Arrange meetings between customers and technical leads as required for technical discussions and issue resolution.
- Monitor project timelines, risks, dependencies, issues and scope changes; proactively drive corrective actions and escalations.
- Generate weekly project reports and maintain project trackers.




- Support the Senior PM team in preparing management reports, dashboards and project heat maps.
- Identify scope creep/additional requirements and coordinate with Sales & Marketing and relevant teams for appropriate action.
- Ensure timely closure of project action items and customer commitments.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable SOPs, quality and safety requirements.
- Drive a First-Time-Right approach and minimize project delays, rework and deviations.

Education & Experience

- M.Sc. / M.Pharm / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or related discipline.
- 812 years of relevant experience in Project Management, Chemical Synthesis, Process Chemistry, Pharmaceutical R&D;, CRO or CDMO.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and customer-facing project coordination is preferred.
- International client management experience will be an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of Organic/Chemical Synthesis and pharmaceutical R&D.;
- Project planning, scheduling, risk and issue management.
- Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills.
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of project management tools is desirable.
- Strong ownership, problem-solving, follow-up and execution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight timelines.
- Experience in Zoho CRM (preferred) or any other Project Management Tool
