Role:Application Engineer - Warehouse Automation

Description:

Application engineer who will work for full project lifecycle including Solution Design, Development, Project Execution, Implementation, Operational Support, Training of end users and admins, Change request and Steady state site support. He will be part of Warehouse Automation IT team supervised by WH Lead.

Business requirement management - Co-ordinate with operations team to understand business requirement and pain point analysis.

Vendor Management Coordinate with Automation vendors for design and implement latest technology automation solution. It includes development/customization of the automation software by vendors, interfaces design, databases design, RCAs, change requests, bugs, new requirements, etc.

L1/L2 Support Learn and understand automation solution implemented in Reliance new energy related to warehouse and material handling automation. Responsible to provide SLA based technical support to warehouse operation team for issues related to applications, database, servers, interfaces, communication, etc. RCA of the issues to avoid re-occurrence and documentation to create knowledge base.

Application Management Automation application deployment using DevOps pipeline and its sanity testing. Release management of automation application to ensure compliance. Responsibility for security of (system and organizational) data, manage compliance to IRM guidelines.

Stake holders management Coordinate with Warehouse operations, Server, DBAs, Network, Pipeline, JIO 5G and WIFI, automation vendors, Infosec, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical, etc. to troubleshoot issues effecting performance of automation applications.

24* 7 operations Support business continuity by ensuring high availability of automation application for warehouse operations team in coordination with automation vendors. Continuous improvement through RCA and knowledge base. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.

Skills & experience:





- B.E / B.Tech CE/IT with 3 - 6 Years of the skillset:
- SLA based L2 level technical support
- Hands on experience of MS SQL Servers, Oracle, Web Services, Rest based API interfaces, Web based application architecture, etc.
- Kubernetes docker based application implementation and management on cloud. Release management through DevOps pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and RCA based approach.
- Experience of having material handling automation system like AMRs, ASRS, AGVs, ATLS, etc will be advantage.
- Documentation skills like BRD, FSD, Interface documents, UAT cases, technical documentations, SOPs, User guides, etc.
- Knowledge of Network fundamentals, communication protocols, Server based architecture, Infosec team compliance requirements.
- Understand data flow between discrete manufacturing environment like MES, SAP, Automation applications, etc.

- Monitor and Maintain healthiness of application and troubleshooting as per procedures

- Rotational Shifts: Must be comfortable working in rotational shifts based on 24x7 business requirements.
- 100% Work from Office: The role is strictly in office at the Jamnagar Manufacturing Division. No Work From Home (WFH) or hybrid options are available.
- 6 Days Working: The standard schedule requires a 6-day work week.
